Stitch with Antique Lace and Linen - hand embroidery workshop Come and join me for a day of relaxing hand stitching, as we piece together and embroider beautiful antique lace and linen. Using a palette of mainly whites, select and arrange a variety of textures and designs to create a gorgeous assemblage of vintage fabrics. I have a whole range of antique fabrics, lace, old table clothes and embroideries which we can give new life to and create some interesting and meaningful little pictures. Enjoy working with these cherished fabrics and learn a range of hand embroidery stitches, as we select and stitch the pieces together. Cut out shapes and create a small composition, which we can embellish with couching, additional hand stitching and embellishments. Add on beads, buttons, or even sequins to bring the fabrics to life and make a really beautiful piece which could be framed, or kept as a sample. Suitable for all levels of experience. Price includes all materials, plus tea, coffee and biscuits. Perhaps you have some pieces of linen or lace yourself that you would like to include? This could be the perfect project for them!
