Moths

Parham House is an Elizabethan family home in West Sussex, which houses some of the best examples of seventeenth century and beyond needlework and embroidery. It was on a visit to an exhibition there that I came across an exquisite Elizabethan embroidery of a moth, which inspired this project. To me it represents a connection from the past to the present day, memories and needlework skills which have been passed down through the generations.
