Hand Stitched Miniature Gift Box

Course Details

Join me for some cosy hand stitching to make a gorgeous miniature gift box. This is a lovely little project that uses all sorts of techniques. First, make a beautiful and unusual mixed media background using painted bondaweb to make your box, then discover how to add foils to for a metallic finish to give it that "wow" factor. Next we'll cut out the box pieces and begin to embellish. Enjoy some relaxing hand embroidery to decorate your box pieces, adding all sorts of interesting embellishments, such as beads or sequins, to the lid and sides. I'll give you ideas to create your own unique little hand embroidered patterns to make a really special little box to keep small precious things in. Learn some hand stitching techniques to add a securing loop and a decorative circle for the top of the box. In the afternoon we will construct the box and finish off with a lovely felt interior. Perfect as a handmade gift (or a gift to yourself!). Suitable for all abilities, with all materials provided.
