Join me for this fabulous workshop and learn how to add a bit of bling and sparkle to your machine embroidery! Learn how to stitch metal using your sewing machine, to make some beautiful, abstract pieces. It really is easy, once you know how! We will be using gold, silver and copper metallic embossing foil, to stitch on our machines, making some true mixed media samples! Learn how to use dissolvable fabric to create interesting metallic backgrounds and then shape and embellish these to create some stunning effects. Integrate metallic samples with felt and make some beautiful patterned pieces. You will learn several techniques and come away with a small selection of beautiful backgrounds to frame, use for cards or to integrate into another textile project. Suitable for those with basic experience of free motion machine embroidery, come and join me to discover how to integrate metallic elements into your work. Learn how to make some really stunning and unusual pieces and leave with lots of inspiration for how you can take your machine embroidery to the next level by using these interesting materials. All materials are included. You will just need to bring your sewing machine, with free motion (or darning) foot attached and a selection of threads to use.
