Machine Embroidery - Mixed Media Autumn Leaves One day workshop Thursday 18th September 10am - 3.30pm Garden Studio, Storrington Join me on this fun and unique workshop to make a gorgeous mixed media piece, based around the the shapes and colours of Autumn leaves. Suitable for those with some experience of machine embroidery, we will explore all sorts of different techniques and media, to create a small piece which could be framed as a picture, or perhaps used as a book cover. Using painted bondaweb as a background, I will show you techniques to transfer and applique on leaf shapes, adding machine embroidery to stitch in the veins and detail of the leaves. Learn how to add metallic elements and stitch into metal on your machine, to create a piece that really has the "wow!" factor! If we have time, we can also add in some hand stitched embellishments to give interest and add additional decoration to the piece. Materials are provided, but you will need to bring your own sewing machine with embroidery foot attached. Please note, you will need to have had some experience with basic "free motion" stitching - this workshop is not suitable for complete beginners in machine embroidery.

If you are unable to attend the workshop and it’s more than 3 weeks in advance of the start date, then I will send a refund to the original payment source. If cancellation is within 3 weeks of your workshop, I am unable to offer a refund unless I can fill your space, or the course is cancelled. Refreshments will be provided free of charge (tea, coffee and biscuits). Most materials are usually provided free of charge (unless otherwise stated), but any additional requirements will emailed to you in advance of the course.
