Course Details
Suitable for those with some experience of machine embroidery, learn how to make these beautiful butterfly and moth motifs using dissolvable fabric. Select your own choice of colours and moth or butterfly designs, to create one of these fabulous critters! I will show you how to easily transfer a design and add trapped materials and stitching to make one of these gorgeous pieces. We'll be stitching into dissolvable fabric, which can create the most amazing effects, as it washes away to reveal areas of open stitching and beautiful organza or net pieces, which can be inserted into the design. They look complicated, but with my guidance, learn how simple this technique really is! Use as an embellishment, as a window hanging or as the basis for a whole new artwork. Warning: making moths and butterflies is very addictive! You will need to bring along your own sewing machine with embroidery foot attached and a selection of threads, but all fabric is included, plus tea coffee and biscuits.

The full fee must be made upon booking to secure your place. If you are unable to attend the workshop and it’s more than 3 weeks in advance of the start date, then I will send a refund to the original payment source. If cancellation is within 3 weeks of your workshop, I am unable to offer a refund unless I can fill your space, or the course is cancelled. Refreshments will be provided free of charge (tea, coffee and biscuits). Most materials are usually provided free of charge (unless otherwise stated), but any additional requirements will emailed to you in advance of the course.
