Course Details
Hand Stitched Covered Buttons Come and join me for this lovely relaxing workshop and learn how to make your very own buttons. We'll be using some beautiful soft wool to cover O rings and stitch in place to create some unusual and unique designs. Once we've made our basic button, we can then embellish it with an infinite variety of hand embroidery, beads, sequins or other buttons - the possibilities are endless! Learn how to create buttons in a range of sizes and using different techniques. Experiment with hand embroidery and learn some new stitches to make interesting designs in any number of colour and stitch combinations. I'll also show you how to embroider a button hole bar on the reverse, ready to be stitched on to fabric. These buttons really are satisfying to create and will look so unusual and stylish when added to a garment or bag. They're very addictive and you will have the chance to make several designs (or several of the same design if you wish!) to take away and use on a project of your choice. Finish the day with a range of beautiful buttons and lots of ideas and techniques to carry on making! Price includes all materials, plus tea, coffee and biscuits.

The full fee must be made upon booking to secure your place. If you are unable to attend the workshop and it’s more than 3 weeks in advance of the start date, then I will send a refund to the original payment source. If cancellation is within 3 weeks of your workshop, I am unable to offer a refund unless I can fill your space, or the course is cancelled. Refreshments will be provided free of charge (tea, coffee and biscuits). Most materials are usually provided free of charge (unless otherwise stated), but any additional requirements will emailed to you in advance of the course.
