Experimental Hand Embroidery for Beginners Discover the joy and relaxation of hand embroidery and the fun you can have experimenting with different stitches! Over the course of five weeks, I will introduce you to a range of different hand embroidery stitches. Then we'll "break the rules" and experiment with all the different variations you could make with each, using a range of different threads and unusual materials. Each week we will focus on one or two stitches, such as blanket stitch, chain stitch, fly stitch, french and buillion knots, plus some more unusual variations. Let me teach you step by step, as you build your confidence and repertoire of stitches, in a relaxing and supportive environment. Each week we will work on a different "page" to create a small sample book, which you can put together at the end of the course as a beautiful record and resource to inspire your future works. Hand stitching really is so relaxing and fun to do. I encourage experimentation and working to your own style and pace, so you will have lots of freedom to explore the stitches in whatever way you wish.
