Make a commitment to your creativity and take time for yourself, with the support of a like minded group and on-going one to one help and mentoring.
Would you like the creative stimulation of a regular workshop and one to one guided help, to give you support and encouragement for your projects, but without having to attend every week? Would you like the support and friendship of a small group and my ongoing tuition to help you stay on track and motivated?
My next intake will begin on Fridays, starting on May 24th and then continuing on a monthly basis throughout 2024 (with a break for August and December). Each month you will have an exciting full day workshop, focusing on a particular theme and skill, and be introduced to a simple project to complete.
For 2024, the overall theme will be "Elements of Design", thinking about line, shape, colour and texture. Workshops might include (but are not limited to) printing and stamping fabric and paper, line and mark making, silk painting, considering negative space, fabric collage, experimental applique, working with colour, experiments with the heat press, machine embroidery techniques and much more. You will also be given a prompt or theme for a small project to work on, which we will begin during the workshop and you could continue at home if you wished.
I envisage this as being a supportive group which can develop and grow depending on peoples wishes and interests. For example, if you enjoy working with machine embroidery, or perhaps only like doing hand stitching, this can be accommodated. All the projects and workshops will be suitable for any level of experience from beginners to the more advanced. I will be available to offer you ongoing help and advice, so that you can develop your own work and projects however you like. All you need is a sense of humour and a willingness to learn new things!

£360 payable in x 3 instalments:
