Course Details
Machine embroidery workshop - all kinds of leaves! Come and join me for a relaxing morning of simple machine embroidery, to learn how to stitch all kinds of leaves. Suitable for those with basic experience of machine (or "free motion" embroidery), learn how to easily transfer a leaf design and embroider, using dissolvable, or "wash-away" stabiliser. Be inspired by the beautiful shapes of leaves to make an infinite variety of different designs. Discover how to easily trace designs, using real leaves as your starting point. Learn how to use organza and interesting types of lacy fabrics to build up texture and colour. Embroider your design, then watch the magic happen, as you wash away the stabiliser to reveal a beautiful leaf motif! These make wonderful embroidered motifs to use in your work (and often feature in my own work, as seen in the pictures below). They could also be used to decorate cards or books, or just as lovely little decorations in their own right. They are so fun and interesting to make! You will need to bring your sewing machine, with embroidery foot attached and a selection of threads, but all other materials are provided, plus tea, coffee and biscuits.

The full fee must be made upon booking to secure your place. If you are unable to attend the workshop and it’s more than 3 weeks in advance of the start date, then I will send a refund to the original payment source. If cancellation is within 3 weeks of your workshop, I am unable to offer a refund unless I can fill your space, or the course is cancelled. Refreshments will be provided free of charge (tea, coffee and biscuits). Most materials are usually provided free of charge (unless otherwise stated), but any additional requirements will emailed to you in advance of the course.
