Course Details
Suitable for those with some basic experience of machine, or "free motion" embroidery, join me for a unique workshop and learn how to make a beautiful, landscape inspired picture using dissolvable fabric! We will use a range of opaque fabrics, such as organza, or voiles which we will "trap" between a dissolvable stabiliser, arranged into a landscape composition. We'll also try adding in some unusual fibres, such as angelina, snipped threads, or even wools, which can also be "trapped" and stitched in place. Guidance will be given as to the different patterns of stitching you can use to secure your piece and create interesting "transparent" areas within the composition. Then watch the magic happen, as we wash away the dissolvable stabiliser to create an unusual and very effective small landscape, with stunning results! You will need to bring along your own sewing machine with embroidery foot and a selection of threads, but all other materials are included.

The full fee must be made upon booking to secure your place. If you are unable to attend the workshop and it’s more than 3 weeks in advance of the start date, then I will send a refund to the original payment source. If cancellation is within 3 weeks of your workshop, I am unable to offer a refund unless I can fill your space, or the course is cancelled. Refreshments will be provided free of charge (tea, coffee and biscuits). Most materials are usually provided free of charge (unless otherwise stated), but any additional requirements will emailed to you in advance of the course.
