Gelli Printing with Hand Made Stamps Join me for a new take on gelli printing, by experimenting with making your very own hand made stamps. Using soft foam to cut out shapes and etch markings into, we will look at a range of different designs and ideas and I will guide you into how to transfer a pattern and what might make a good print. Or, you may wish to bring your own ideas and designs, which we can try out and experiment with. Once we have made the stamps, they will then be used to press onto a gelli plate, to make an infinite number of designs and markings. Build up pattern with layers of paint to create the most beautiful results. In addition, you could use your foam stamps to print directly onto fabric or paper. These can make unique and gorgeous motifs, which can be cut out individually and used for different projects. Stamped paper is ideal for card or book making, collage, decoupage or just as a small picture to be framed. There is so much fun and potential to be had with this technique! You can print onto either paper or plain fabric (so long as it has a smooth surface). Fabric can then be used as a unique background to add some stitching in to, or perhaps made into in a small item such as purse, or a hand made card. You could add also add further decorations to paper, enhancing with pens or stamps, or cutting out shapes - ideal for card making. The potential is endless and it's such a nice technique to come and play with. Note: Please bring some small A5 pieces of paper or fabric with you to print onto (I will also have some pieces you can use as well). All other materials are provided, plus tea, coffee and biscuits.
